If the lights go out usually most companies would have to hault operations because nothing can be done manually. I also worry about a generation of people who can't even do math without some type of electronic help. I am a true believer in a back-up plan and being able to do things the old fashion way is not a bad thing. Just ask the passengers on that plan that landed on the Hudson. I am sure they appreciated that their Captain could land the plan with or without technology. I love technology but I do think it is relied on too much. I do review the product, feature and users reviews before investing in a new technology or product upgrade. Most well thought out technologies will last you several years without upgrades. I use a lot of technology to help me stay organized and informed.
